Diane Keaton’s Socially-Distanced Look Is Pure Annie Hall

Since the orders to shelter in place were issued, celebrity style has changed drastically. The move to sweatpants, sneakers, and undone hair was mildly shocking if you were used to seeing your favorite actors or models in high fashion. When everyone is filtered through the glossy prism of Instagram updates and red carpet events, it can be hard to gauge who is genuinely chic and who has an incredible glam squad.

Thankfully, some stars have such a distinctive sense of personal style that it shines through no matter the situation. Case in point: Diane Keaton. The 74-year-old Oscar winner has only slightly tweaked her look since the days of her Ralph Lauren Annie Hall wardrobe. Her love of suits, hats, and quirky accessories hasn’t changed in five decades, so why should it change now? Spotted in Brentwood yesterday as she stepped out to take a walk, Keaton wore a dapper plaid suit, bowler hat, and coordinated face mask.

The importance of wearing a mask during the coronavirus crisis can’t be understated, though this extra layer of safety needn’t detract from your look. Keaton’s inimitable style shows that staying mindful of the CDC’s health regulations and staying fabulous aren’t mutually exclusive. Already trending this week on social media for popping up in mundane places and surprising fans, the movie icon will inevitably be spotted out in another great mask-meets-suiting look very soon.
