On the heels of yesterday’s announcement that Sarah Jessica Parker and Christopher John Rogers will be sitting down together for this year’s first-ever virtual Vogue Forces of Fashion summit on November 16 and 17, more major names have been added to the roster. Tony and Grammy award-winning actor Cynthia Erivo will join designer Craig Green for a panel that will explore their highly distinctive career paths and the importance of risk-taking. And Louis Vuitton Men’s Creative Director and founder and designer of Off-White Virgil Abloh will be chatting with supermodel Bella Hadid about “Blazing a Trail.” The two friends and colleagues will talk about their growth paths and why it’s crucial that we support young creatives in their efforts to change the world.
In addition to these two panels, stylist and Vogue contributing editor Gabriella Karefa-Johnson will lead a discussion titled “Whose Positivity” with the models Paloma Elsesser, Precious Lee, Jill Jortleve, and Tess McMillan that will center around their experiences in the industry and the very real work that still needs to be done around size inclusivity within the world of fashion.
Other panel speakers include Vogue’s November and October cover stars Naomi Campbell and Lizzo, the latter of whom will be in conversation with designer Jeremy Scott; Victoria Beckham; and Alexander McQueen creative director Sarah Burton. Also participating this year will be Alber Elbaz of AZ Fashion, Bottega Veneta creative director Daniel Lee, photographer Ethan James Green, Loewe creative director and JW Anderson founder Jonathan Anderson, and writer and director Reggie Yates. Topics will include racial equality, sustainability, and the future of the fashion industry as a whole. The two-day virtual event will include opening remarks from Vogue editor in chief Anna Wintour, live Q&As with Vogue editors, networking sessions, and drop-ins from surprise guests, as well as a morning wellness session and happy hour on the second day.
