Naomi Campbell’s Lifelong Beauty Secret Is Available at Your Local Drugstore

With legendary supermodel status comes, well, legends—some of which turn out to be (nearly) true. The point was proven today when British journalist Afua Hirsch circled back with Naomi Campbell after her cover interview for Vogue’s November issue—this time at the virtual Forces of Fashion summit—touching on an over-the-counter mainstay that the model has, apparently, favored for decades.

Toward the end of the conversation, Hirsch mentioned that, when she was young, her mother would base beauty purchases on rumors of Campbell’s routine. The main product in question? Johnson’s Baby Oil. And though Campbell has never been a devotee to that product specifically, Hirsch’s mother was close: The supermodel said she has used Johnson’s Baby Soap exclusively since she was a baby herself. Still an advocate of the pared-down cleanser, Campell is also a fan of Johnson’s Baby Wipes. “These things remind me of London growing up,” she said, rounding out the interview. Iconic supermodels: They’re just like us.
