Jennifer Lopez Goes Incognito in Dior

How do you keep ensuring all eyes are on you while keeping your mask on? If anyone knows the answer to that question, it’s Jennifer Lopez. Yesterday while leaving her dermatologist’s office in West Hollywood Lopez gave a crash course in using fashion as a barrier. With her famous features obscured by sunglasses, a veiled Dior 30 Montaigne Large Brim Bucket Hat, and crystal face covering from MasQd, J.Lo exited the building with flair. Though her accessories were on point—her zodiac print Dior Book tote and Hermés Collier de Chien bracelet were the height of luxury—it was the black and white motif she carried from head to toe that gave the look it’s visual impact. From the houndstooth chapeau to the silk long-sleeved a-line maxi dress she wore, Lopez amplified the classic silhouettes with pattern and color, a move that resulted in one of her most interesting outfits of the year.

Even if you didn’t know it was J.Lo beneath all that finery, the look was unquestionably chic. At once mysterious and eye-catching, the graphic color palette and mixed prints made for a striking combination. It was impossible not to stare at Lopez’s ensemble, but those around her knew better than to get close. Nothing sends a stronger “look but don’t touch message” than doubling up with a mask and veiled hat then throwing on a pair of sunglasses for good measure. Still, she managed to retain the glamour that has become her signature while shielding herself from the paparazzi.
