Leslie Odom Jr. Was the Best Dressed Man at the BAFTAs

At tonight’s BAFTAs in London, Leslie Odom Jr. was nominated for best actor in a supporting role for One Night in Miami, making him one of the buzziest stars in attendance. But regardless of the nominations, his outfits made him the center of attention. His zesty, color-blocked Versace suits styled by Avo Yermagyan set him apart in a sea of otherwise subdued tailoring. An A-lister wardrobe, indeed.

For the red carpet portion of the evening, Odom Jr. wore a red printed suit from Versace’s fall 2021 collection, which deliberately clashed against a yellow button-up and matching socks. Later in the show, the star changed into a bright blue tailored look from Versace’s spring line, topped off with a red trench and checkered turtleneck. (Hitting all the colors of the rainbow in one evening? Mega bonus points for that.)

It’s hard to decide which of the two fits came out on top here, as each would have cemented Odom Jr. on any best dressed list for the evening. The two fashion moments continued his winning style streak—he wore a romantic ruffled Celine top toughened up with a pinstripe suit and chain jewelry at the Critics Choice Awards, and a futuristic ombré Berluti suit at the SAG Awards. With awards season coming to a close with the Oscars at the end of the month, the actor has clearly been saving the best outfits for last. We’ll just have to wait and see what he pulls out for the Academy Awards. Hopefully there will be loads of playful color there as well. After all, he does in-your-face brights like nobody else on the Hollywood scene.
